Dell'Orco & VIllani

Dell’Orco & Villani is a world leader in manufacturing machines for recycling textile waste as well as blending equipment. The family-owned business was started in 1964 by Giovanni Dell’Orco and his friend, Silvano Villani. First they made spare parts for textile machinery specializing in reclaiming natural fibers such as wool and cotton.

By 1970, with the introduction of man-made fibers, the Company expanded its manufacturing program and moved into a 30,000 sq. ft. plant in Capalle near Prato, the heart of the Italian textile industry. D&V expanded their equipment to include the reclamation and blending of fibers for the automotive industry. They also built machinery for the production of nonwoven pads for under carpets, mattresses, sound insulation and geotextiles. They overcame challenging physical and chemical characteristics to introduce this new equipment. Soon after, they manufactured textile tearing and opening machines to recycle textile waste. By 1977, after working in the industry in the UK, Sergio joined his father’s company back in Italy.

Today Dell’Orco & Villani is a world leader in manufacturing machinery for the fiber reclamation and blending industry. During the last ten years, the Company expanded its production again. Much of D&V’s success can be attributed to their state-of-the-art research and their in-house Cad computer systems. Therefore, D&V is able to offer tailor-made solutions to solve each client’s individual needs. In addition, they offer fast and after-sales service.
